About us
Keystone Nursery is based within Morice Town Children’s Centre and is managed by Keyham Community Partnership. The Nursery is open 50 weeks a year from 8am – 6pm every weekday.

OFSTED
The Nursery is registered and regulated by OFSTED who inspected the Nursery in December 2008 and gave the nursery a Good Grade – the OFSTED inspection report can be viewed at the nursery or at www.ofsted.gov.uk (our OFSTED Registration number is EY374928).

What We Provide
We provide care and education for your child from 3 months of age to 5 years.

Children who are over 3 are entitled to up to 6 terms of free early education. A child becomes eligible for a free place from 1 September, 1 January or 1 April following their 3rd birthday. Keystone Nursery provides 15 hours free time per week term time only.

We also provide a breakfast club and after-school club for children aged from 4 – 11 years old (including school holidays).

Looking after Your Child
Your child will be cared for by the same member of staff for most of the time they attend our nursery. This helps to make your child feel reassured, safe and cared for, giving you peace of mind as well as a familiar person for you and your child to build a relationship with.

Learning Through Play
As a nursery we use the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance. This ensures your child will be treated as an individual whilst they learn and develop through play by having lots of fun!

We provide creative, investigative and constructive play, as well as learning and sharing through rhymes, music and stories.

Outside Play
The nursery has a lovely large, bright outside area for physical play and also have use of the school playground and play park, especially during the school holidays.

Healthy Eating
Keystone Nursery understands the importance of a healthy and varied diet for your child and provides a balanced choice of snacks and drinks for your child every morning and afternoon

Qualified Teacher
We have a Children’s Centre Teacher who works closely with the Nursery to support the development of quality play, learning and staff development.

Staff Development

Our nursery staff are encouraged to attend regular training to build on their knowledge of child development. They also have internal training from the Children’s Centre Teacher. All staff are checked by the Criminal Records Bureau to ensure the safety
of your child.

We are continually working on improving our nursery and have recently refurbished it – we still want to do more, but please feel free to come along and see what we have done so far, it would be lovely to see you!
